My Campus placement Story

            I started my gate preparation in May 2020, at the end of May 2020 I started preparing for the gate but my preparations were directionless, in July’s first week I came to know about Capgemini's pool campus drive, I decided to appear for Capgemini as my gate preparations were directionless and I was not much sure about Gate 2021 as I had decided to go for Tuitions at Hyderabad but Covid 19 Ruined my dream.

 I started preparing for Capgemini I guess at the starting of August we had Capgemini's test. I had a dream plan to prepare for Capgemini crack the Capgemini's test get an offer letter and start preparing for Gate, so that even if I didn't score well in Gate then also I will have at least one academic achievement for the year 2020-21 so that I can go for further tuitions in 2021 and prepare for gate 2022. But things didn't go as decided I cleared all rounds of aptitude according to rules if anyone clears all rounds then he/she gets the opportunity to attend an interview. I cleared all the rounds of the aptitude test but due to some technical error I didn't receive the mail for an interview I was very much disappointed at that time so I decided to focus only on the gate and try to make it in 2021 attempt. So, I started giving my 100 % to Gate but again in October we got a message about TCS campus placement for first I decided not to go for TCS and only focus on Gate but my mother advised me not to lose any single opportunity so I started preparing for TCS on 15^th of October.

On 17^th October Dasara started in all those 9 days we had a function at our home town so I went to my hometown with my family and all the preparation stopped on 25^th October we had TCS national qualifying test which was aptitude test for TCS ninja and Digital, I didn't prepare for TCS at all but I had done Programming in C and Algorithm very well for Gate exam, and the Day arrived I went on my bike with my friend prathmesh we traveled around 100 kilometers and reached the center on time, I went to the center with zero preparations but my Gate preparations helped me a lot, I attempted every question very well and completed the test on time during the programming test I found that the problem statement was very much simple but at the same time it was very much lengthy and time-consuming I started coding but at the end, I hadn’t enough time to complete the code I just had to add a sorting logic and print the output but as I had less time I submitted the code as it is.

Then in the evening, we came back home, the day was awesome although I hadn’t completed the programming test but I had a great aptitude test so I was happy. Then after a month, I got a mail from TCS about the interview I was happy as I was sure about the interview that I will crack the interview. But I was a little bit afraid about the interview because of the internet connection but my college helped me with that they offered us a college internet facility, so I went to jaysingpur on the next day for the interview. I reached my room a day before my interview I had my interview in the evening slot so I started preparing for the interview in the morning I started with Java as I was weak in java, my C programming and algorithms were at their best so I started with java concepts and some introduction and communication tips, I took help from my seniors, and luckily my friend prathmesh who had also cracked the aptitude he also had an interview at the same timing, we had different panels. The interview went for 1 hour mostly they asked me about Technical knowledge I had, about TCS they only ask about what you know, so I suggest everyone prepare for single technology in deep so that you will be comfortable during the interview and prepare for your introduction part in deep at least give introduction of 5 minutes try to cover all aspects of your resume. So that interviewers will get a direction for questions. And most important prepare for SQL in any technical interview they will ask about SQL syntax 100%. During my Managerial round and HR round they asked simple questions like will you relocate? What will be your reaction if the manager gives you boring tasks? 

Then in the evening, my interview was over, I came to my room, I stayed in jaysingpur for next 1 day as I had some work to do. Then I came back home and started my gate preparations again. After a month I got a phone call from my friend about the TCS result and BINGO I got selected in TCS, I was happy as now I can freely focus on my gate preparation. As I had academic success for the year 2020-21. That day was 25^th  December 2021 i.e. Christmas. And then on 12^th January, I received the Offer letter from TCS but my ultimate goal is the Gate exam and Masters.
